Manchester United legend Mark Hughes has once again put his stunning £5.5million Cheshire mansion up for sale - the third time it's been listed.

The sprawling property spans a whopping 8,892 square feet and is nestled within approximately two acres of land. The ex-United and Chelsea striker, 62, decided to relist his home, having previously put it on the market twice - most recently in 2020.

The listing reveals the Wales icon's mansion boasts six bedrooms and seven bathrooms. Estate agents have promoted it as an "expansive, design-led family home with a luxury leisure suite in a prestigious Cheshire location."

The property features a leisure suite complete with an indoor pool, spa and gym, as well as a tennis court and private golf green within its grounds, reports the Manchester Evening News.

The interiors are finished to perfection, described in the listing as utilising "a refined palette of materials", and include a cinema room, a separate one-bedroom annexe, a smart home system and underfloor heating throughout.

Situated in Cheshire's renowned 'Golden Triangle', often called the 'Footballer Belt', the house is tucked away amongst some of the most lavish properties in the region.

This five-mile stretch is famous for its wealth and extravagance, with Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk, along with former Premier League stars Trent Alexander-Arnold and Kevin De Bruyne, being among the area's current and past celebrity inhabitants.

Hughes had a successful 13-year stint at United during two separate periods, initially making his mark as a 20 year old in the early 1980s before returning to Old Trafford in 1988, following spells with Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
