Terry Bradshaw believes forgotten NFL player, not Tom Brady, is greatest QB

Tom Brady is widely regarded as the greatest quarterback of all time between his seven Super Bowl rings and the slew of records he set both in the NFL and with the New England Patriots.

Terry Bradshaw, though, doesn’t see his FOX co-worker that way.

“I always hear people say, ‘Tom Brady’s the greatest quarterback to ever play.’ OK, is he really? Otto Graham may be the greatest quarterback to ever play,” Bradshaw said during an appearance on the “Nothing Left Unsaid” podcast. “How many titles did Otto win? Look it up. And Tom lost three. I was 4-0. (Joe) Montana was 4-0. Tom was 7-3. Seven minus three is four. Four, four, four. That’s kind of the way I look at it. People are something else. We always want to know who was the best, don’t we?”

Graham played for the Cleveland Browns from 1946-1955. He, like Brady, won seven championships total, three Super Bowls and four AAFC championships — which came before the Super Bowl era. He also lost three championships, the same amount as Brady.

Brady’s longevity in the NFL and 10 Super Bowl appearances are part of the reasons fans believe he is the GOAT. He played during a different era than Graham — who played for 10 seasons.

There will likely always be some sort of debate about Brady’s GOAT status, but there’s no denying the success he had over his 23 seasons has made him among one of the greatest to play the quarterback position.
