NFL Week 11 Preview

We say it every week but the NFL provides some of the most competitive match ups in all of sports, it is a league in which anyone can beat anyone.

This season has been no different with teams coming from nowhere and perennial winners stumbling out of the metaphorical blocks.

Let us break down three much watch match ups from week 11 slate.

Match up number 3- Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-3) vs Buffalo Bills (6-3)

Over the last few seasons these two teams have become competitive giants, they have both become teams you would not want to play.

Historically for the Buccaneers this is not what fans of the franchise had come to expect boasting a 42% winning percentage all time so outside of their two Superbowl’s winning seasons are not normality.

As for the opposition outside of the success in the 1990s the bills where the laughing stock of the AFC East, since they selected Josh Allen with the seventh overall pick their fortunes have changed, making the playoffs consistently for four plus years.

Josh Allen comes into this from a slightly off game against the Miami Dolphins despite his counting stats looking acceptable he failed the eye test.

As for his opposite number fellow first rounder Baker Mayfield is coming off of a three touchdown day against the NewEngland Patriots.****

NFL fans know you never want to miss a game when these two look horns and this Sunday is no different.

Match up number 2- Los Angeles Rams (7-2) vs Seattle Seahawks (7-2)

This divisional game has no shortage of drama as the playoffs draw ever nearer this game could be the decider for a potential one seed.

37 year old Matthew Stafford leads his men against their divisional rivals, The iron man himself has been tearing the league apart whilst ignoring his usual turnover woes.

Stafford has thrown from 2427 yards, completing 67 percent of his passes and throwing 25 touchdowns.

On the other side of the field there’s the new boy in Seattle, Sam Darnold, Darnold who is somewhat of a heroic story of perseverance.

The former first rounder has set his career back on track after a sub optimal start, Darnold has thrown for 71 percent completion percentage and 17 touchdowns.

All signs point to this game becoming a shoot out between these two high scoring offences.

Match up number 1- Philadelphia Eagles (7-2) vs Detroit Lions (6-3)

Two one seed contenders in the NFC square off going into week 11, drastically different offensive styles with the Eagles having a heavy emphasis on “smash mouth” football, and the lions running an exciting and flashy offence.

The Lions are skippered by composed Jarred Goff who can make every throw on the field, he was a back field duo of Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery, who have been playfully dubbed “Sonic and Knuckles”.

With an electric receiving core of Jameson Williams and the “sun god” Amon-Ra St Brown. it is no surprise that Goff consistently puts up great numbers, and the Dan Campbell lead lions move the ball at will.

On the other side of the pitch is the offence lead by **Jalen**Hurts, Athletic and cerebral the true quarterback package, everyone knows about the Eagles Qb sneak and how lethal it is.

But their weapons are almost at a Madden franchise level out of this world, Saquon Barkley who is arguably a top 3 running back in the last ten years.

As well as an all star wide receiver duo in A.J. brown and Heisman winner DeVonta Smith the Eagles can beat you on the ground and through the air.
