Injury Report: Seahawks' secondary receives good news

The Seattle Seahawks’ defensive back room had an encouraging development Thursday in the form of cornerback Josh Jobe practicing in full for the first time since suffering a concussion in Week 9 against Washington.

Kapadia: The deciding factor in Seahawks-Rams heavyweight clash

Jobe was held out of last week’s game against Arizona and had been a limited participant during Wednesday’s practice. Prior to his injury, Jobe was serving as the team’s No. 2 cornerback.

If Jobe is able to return this weekend, it would bolster Seattle’s secondary for an important divisional showdown with a Los Angeles Rams squad that ranks second in the league in passing yards (259.9 per game) and features the standout wide receiver duo of Puka Nacua and Davante Adams.

Wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba was also a full participant after being limited the day prior for rest, and safety Coby Bryant returned to practice in full capacity after he missed Wednesday’s session for non-injury related reasons.

The bad news on the Seahawks’ injury report was that rookie wide receiver Tory Horton (groin, shin) was held out of practice after being limited the day before. The caveat there is that Wednesday’s practice was a walk-thru, so all practice designations were estimates and it’s unclear if Horton would have participated in normal session.

Just two Seahawks were limited during Thursday’s practice – rookie guard Grey Zabel (heel) and linebacker Ernest Jones IV (knee).

The following Seahawks carried injury designations but were full participants: wide receivers Cooper Kupp (hamstring, wrist), Jake Bobo (calf) and Cody White (abdomen), tight end A.J. Barner (calf), guard Christian Haynes (pectoral) and defensive end Leonard Williams (wrist).

Additionally, center Jalen Sundell did not practice. Head coach Mike Macdonald on Monday said the second-year offensive lineman is expected to miss multiple weeks with a knee injury suffered against Arizona on Sunday.
