A short week concludes for the New England Patriots as they return to Gillette Stadium for a Thursday night matchup against the New York Jets.

The Jets won the toss and elected to receive, putting the Patriots defense on the field first vs. Justin Fields and Co. After converting an opening third-and-1 on the ground, Fields’ legs picked up another fresh set of downs on a 14-yard scramble. New York then converted their third third-down of the drive to set up in the red zone. Facing a third-and-7, New York picked up a fresh set of downs again as Fields found AD Mitchell through the air. New England’s offense got on the move off an eight-yard completion to Stefon Diggs which then drew an unsportsmanlike conduct to tact on 15 more yards. Keeping the offense on the field on fourth-and-2, Maye found DeMario Douglas for seven yards and a first-down. Maye then converted a third-down threw the air to Diggs to move the unit inside the red zone.
