Depot After Dark: Polamalu’s Son, Rapper With Steelers, Jackson Returns To Practice

A Steelers Depot daily segment. A quick hit of some Pittsburgh Steelers-related stories that may not require a complete article, but nuggets worth mentioning and passing on to you guys.

Your Depot After Dark for Nov. 13.

POLAMALU’S SON

Troy Polamalu is one of the best players in Steelers history. He was with the team from 2003-2014, and he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame a few years ago. Polamalu made plenty of big plays, helping the Steelers win two Super Bowls. Although he has been retired for a while, his legacy continues.

Now, Polamalu’s son, Paisios, is trying to carve out his own path in football, as shared by FOX 5 San Diego. The younger Polamalu is a junior in high school, and he’s having quite a season. He has 2,095 all-purpose yards, 22 total touchdowns, and has forced eight turnovers. Polamalu plays running back, safety, and kick returner, and he hopes to play football in college. We’ll see where he ends up.

RAPPER WITH STEELERS

The Steelers have had an up-and-down season. They started well, but they’ve recently struggled. They’re currently 5-4, and they’ll play the Cincinnati Bengals this week. A win would be great for their chances of staying on top of the AFC North. Despite things not always going well, the Steelers are still trying to lighten the locker room.

The NFL released a video on its YouTube channel showing rapper Harry Mack freestyling with the Steelers. It looks like a fun time. He even tries to incorporate some Pittsburgh language into his performance.

JACKSON RETURNS TO PRACTICE

The Baltimore Ravens had a disappointing start to the season. They were 1-5 at one point. However, they’re starting to battle back from that. They’re currently 4-5 and only one game behind the Steelers in the AFC North. Their struggles were partly due to Lamar Jackson missing several games.

Although Jackson has been healthy the past few weeks, he missed practice earlier this week due to a knee issue. However, Jackson practiced on Thursday, so it looks like he’ll be good to go this week. The Ravens are likely just being careful with their franchise quarterback. If they lose him, their playoff hopes will likely disappear.
