“We want to raise the bar": Fundraiser launched for tifo at Vitality Stadium

The group proposes to create a display that will be used at key home matches, that will help create a ‘vibrant matchday atmosphere’.

The project is aimed to be a fan-funded and led initiative, meaning the group needs to raise £1,200 for it.

Fundraising has been facilitated by the Cherries Trust on behalf of the group of fans.

The fundraiser on GoFundMe said that the funds would be used to “design, create, and display spectacular fan-funded TIFO at key home matches this season.”

It said: “The Cherries Trust was approached by a dedicated group of independent AFCB supporters who believe in the power of a vibrant matchday atmosphere.

“Tifo displays have the incredible potential to galvanise the crowd, inspire the players, and make our stadium an intimidating place for visiting teams.

“We want to raise the bar and ensure our passion is visible for all to see.”

The Trust have already created one banner that was used on the opening day of the season at Anfield to pay tribute to Diogo Jota after his death in the summer.

They said that cost around £1,000 – so explained that was why they were asking for help to fundraise the effort.

“This will be a fan-led, not-for-profit initiative; everything we do is paid for and made by fellow supporters,” the GoFundMe said.

“Your donations go directly into the production of our next display. The Cherries Trust is pleased to be able to facilitate this so that monies paid are not going into an individual's bank account.”

Designs are not final, with this process still in progress. To donate, click here.
