St James' Park Euro 2028 dates confirmed
One Newcastle United star is set to get a closer look at a player the club have been scouting so far this season.
Dan Burn is Newcastle United’s sole representative in Thomas Tuchel’s squad after Nick Pope and Anthony Gordon dropped out due to injury. England have already qualified for the 2026 World Cup as group winners with a perfect qualifying record so far.
Following the Serbia game, England will face Albania on Sunday (5pm kick-off). Both Serbia and Albania are battling for a play-off spot with two games remaining.
Albania could secure a play-off spot tonight should they beat bottom of the group Andorra, and Serbia lose to England. Serbia host Latvia on Sunday and have one player in particular worth keeping an eye on tonight.

Champions League star scouted by Newcastle United
20-year-old Club Brugege defensive midfielder Aleksandar Stanković has attracted interest from several top clubs across Europe and the Premier League following his summer move from Inter Milan.
Tottenham Hotspur have also been credited with an interest in Stankovic while Inter have a buy-back clause of around £20million that can be triggered in 2026, having sold him for just under £9million in July.
Moretto said: “Inter could bring him back to Milan. The repurchase option for Inter is fixed at €23million [£20.33million] for this summer.
“But the news I want to give you today concerns the interest — or rather, the fact that several Premier League clubs are already following him with great attention. Scouts from two clubs in particular, which I can mention — Tottenham and Newcastle — have gone to watch him several times.
“As you know, many scouts do their job, they follow the development and growth of younger players. In this case, Aleksandar Stanković is one of the players who could perform very well in the Premier League.
“He is one of the players that Tottenham and Newcastle scouts have recently gone to see.
“So watch out: it’s true that in the present there is Brugge, and in the future Inter continues to have an invisible hand on him, a form of control. But watch out, because important offers from the Premier League, from Tottenham and Newcastle, might arrive.”
Who is Aleksandar Stanković?
Stanković was born in Milan in 2005 as the son of former Inter Milan and Serbia football icon Dejan Stanković.
The midfielder, who can also play centre-back, progressed through the ranks at Inter’s academy before joining Swiss club Luzern on loan for the 2024/25 season in what was his first foray into senior football. After a solid season in Switzerland, Club Brugge swooped to sign Stanković in the summer and he has quickly made an impact in Belgium and the Champions League, scoring once in 21 appearances so far.
After representing Serbia at various youth levels, the Italian-born midfielder broke into the senior national team earlier this year and will be hoping to add to his two caps during the November international break.
