Manchester City player out of national match – Personal issues cancel game out

Manchester City’s Omar Marmoush suffered a knee injury while in action with Egypt in September.

Marmoush spent more than a month on the sidelines, and it forced him to miss October’s matches with the national team.

The Manchester City player regained full fitness last month. Subsequently, Egypt manager Hossam Hassan included him in his list for November’s international break.

Marmoush’s playing return will now be delayed, as explained in a report from Africa’s WinWin.

Egypt have been preparing to face Uzbekistan on Friday, but the 26-year-old has been absent from the training camp.

He’s received permission from Egypt’s coaching staff, led by Hassan, to ‘attend his engagement’ to Gilan El-Gabbas.

Therefore, the Manchester City attacker ‘won’t be available’ to face Uzbekistan in the UAE later today.

The Pharaohs’ second fixture of this month will be against the winner of the clash between Iran and Cape Verde. The report claims Marmoush will be in contention to selected for this fixture on November 18th, that’s obviously if he hasn’t got any other pressing issues.

Marmoush has a goal and an assist from nine matches for Pep Guardiola’s side this season.
