Bucks fans are saddened after possible season-ending news

Milwaukee Bucks veteran forward Taurean Prince has not seen action in the team’s last four games, and he could miss more. The former Baylor Bears star went under the knife to address an upper-body injury, and while there has been no return timetable provided at the moment for his comeback, it seems that he could be sidelined for a long period.

Via Milwaukee’s official X account:

Medical Update: Taurean Prince underwent surgery today to address the herniated disc in his neck. The procedure was performed by Dr. Robert G. Watkins IV at the Watkins Spine Center in Los Angeles. Prince remains out indefinitely and further updates will be provided as necessary.

Prince is in his second season with the Bucks, who initially signed him to a one-year deal in 2024. Milwaukee then inked him to a two-year contract worth $7.12 million in the summer. The 2026-27 portion of that contract is a player option worth $3.8 million. As it stands, one can fairly expect Prince to pick that option up, especially if he eventually gets ruled out for the rest of the campaign.

Meanwhile, Milwaukee fans online have a lot of things to say about the update on the 31-year-old Prince.

“Same surgeon that performed Brook Lopez’s successful back surgery in ‘21. 🙌🏼,” said a fan on X.

Another one said: “Wish TP a speedy recovery but we gotta do something QUICK”

From a commenter: “Oh man. Get better TP”

“Damnnn worse than I thought, this is badddd,” a social media user posted.

Via a different commenter: “bro how did ts even happen 😭”

Said another: “Is this how Oladipo gets on the roster??”

Amir Coffey, Gary Trent Jr., Kyle Kuzma, and Bobby Portis could have a little more on their plates amid this absence by Prince, who entered the league in 2016 as a first-round pick by the Utah Jazz.
