Anderson & Milenković kick-off international action

Duo meet in clash at Wembley

Reds in action over the weekend

Nottingham Forest duo Elliot Anderson and Nikola Milenković were in action for England and Serbia respectively on Thursday evening as the nations clashed at Wembley Stadium in the Group K FIFA World Cup qualifier.

The Forest pair both started in north London, with Anderson completing 85 minutes of the contest before being withdrawn in the 85th minute.

Milenković meanwhile played the full 90 minutes for Serbia on his return to the Eagles’ starting XI.

Goals in either half from Bukayo Saka and Eberechi Eze maintained Thomas Tuchel’s side’s 100% record in World Cup qualifying so far this season. The Three Lions top the group while Serbia sit third in the table.

A host of other Reds are in action over the weekend as Neco Williams’ Wales travel to Liechtenstein on Saturday evening (kick-off 5pm GMT). The Dragons go into the match sitting third in Group J, four points behind Matz Sels’ Belgium, who travel to Kazakhstan on Saturday afternoon (kick-off 2pm GMT).

Dan Ndoye’s Switzerland welcome Sweden to Lancy on Saturday night (kick-off 7.45pm GMT) looking to maintain their place at the top of Group B.

Ibrahim Sangaré’s Ivory Coast face Saudi Arabia this afternoon in a friendly (kick-off 4.30pm GMT), while John Victor could make his Brazil debut tomorrow when Canarinho welcome Senegal to the Emirates Stadium (kick-off 4pm GMT).
