Prize time for Albion prospect - and he could make it a double

Amario Cozier-Duberry has clinched a player of the month award.

And the accolade does NOT take into account his four goal involvements in one game.

The on-loan [Albion](https://www.theargus.co.uk/sport/albion/?ref=au) winger was named League One’s top man for October by the EFL.

He has been in sparkling form for Bolton Wanderers as they pursue a much-desired return to the higher divisions.

His successful month included an assist and a goal, both in added time, to turn a 1-0 deficit at Huddersfield into a 2-1 win.

He followed that with a stoppage-time stunner to beat leaders Cardiff City.

Those magical moments helped him to the October award.

He got November off to a flying start with two goals and two assists as Port Vale were beaten 4-0.

Cozier-Duberry said: “October was a good month for us with a fantastic finish. They were two big wins against Huddersfield and Cardiff and I know what it meant to the fans.

“To score important goals – and late ones – to help the team like that was a great feeling and hopefully there’s more to come from us all to keep us challenging in a good position in the league.”

The former Arsenal man’s performances have inevitably led to speculation over whether he could move on in January.

There has been no indication that Albion are keen to find him another club or bring him back.

Albion head coach Fabian Hurzeler told The Argus recently: “He is scoring goals like we have seen in training here so I am really pleased for him.

“I don’t care in some moments in which league he is playing, you need to score goals.

“You need to have the quality to score goals.

“I think it is not a big difference if you have the quality.

“I am very pleased how he is doing. We follow for sure his development and he needs to keep pushing.

“He is a Brighton player so he is there for a reason.”

The four-man shortlist also included former Albion midfielder Ollie Norwood, now at Stockport County.

Former Seagulls striker Steve Cotterill won League Two manager of the month for his efforts since returning to Cheltenham.
