Defender Dylan Monk also featured, partnering the returning Sean Somade in central defence in place of the injured Charlie Walker-Smith. Monk took to the pitch at 83 minutes, platforming his composure and adaptability in a higher age group.
Meanwhile, midfielder Seb Bonsu-Amako has continued to impress. Making six appearances in 25/26, Bonsu-Amako has frequently anchored the midfield, stepping up whenever regulars like Chuks Okoli or Euan Danaher have been absent.
Alonso praised the contributions of his younger players:
“I think they help the team. They are really good players. We played with younger players, and I think they are ready to compete with us because they are really competitive.
“Milo played in the cup before, and some others have featured in the U17s cup with us. The performances were good – Milo scored a goal, Dylan played really well, and Seb has also shown he’s capable.”
