Our Gunners made a positive start to the final international break of 2025, with three wins and a draw as well as four clean sheets from four games for those in action so far.
Having already qualified for the 2026 World Cup in the USA, Mexico and Canada, England maintained their perfect record in qualifying with a 2-0 victory over Serbia.
Both goals in the win at Wembley came from Arsenal players, with Bukayo Saka giving his country the lead with a fine volley before Eberechi Eze curled the ball into the top corner to secure the points.
Declan Rice also started the qualifier, as England not only made it seven wins from seven but also kept up their record of not conceding a goal in qualifying with just one game to go in the group away to Albania on Sunday, November 16.
While England were already through, William Saliba’s France secured their spot at the World Cup with a comfortable 4-0 victory over Ukraine.
After a goalless first half, a double from Kylian Mbappe alongside goals from Michael Olise and Hugo Ekitike secured Les Blues’ spot at the 2026 tournament with a game to spare.
Despite Riccardo Calafiori’s absence with a minor injury, Italy won 2-0 in Moldova thanks to late goals from Gianluca Mancini and Francesco Pio Esposito.
But the task of reaching the World Cup automatically is a tall one for Italy, who would need to beat Norway by at least nine goals to leapfrog the Group I leaders and avoid the play-offs.
Away from competitive action, Piero Hincapie captained Ecuador in their 0-0 draw away to World Cup hosts Canada.
Piero’s side have already qualified for next summer's World Cup, but will have been disappointed not to win the friendly after the hosts were reduced to ten men after just six minutes in Toronto.
Several more Gunners will be in action for their countries over the weekend and into next week, before returning to N5 for the north London Derby against Tottenham on Sunday, November 23.
