Charlie Mulgrew sees a way Celtic could fit Andy Robertson and Kieran Tierney into the same team.
But it hinges on them appointing Wilfried Nancy as their new manager.
The Frenchman is the favourite to replace Brendan Rodgers in the Parkhead hotseat, although Columbus Crew insist he is locked in for the 2026 MLS campaign.
Scotland skipper Robertson is approaching the final six months of his Liverpool contract and can speak to clubs outside of England from January,
An emotional homecoming for the boyhood Celtic fan after being released by the club at 15 has been mooted.
Tierney made the move home from Arsenal last summer, although has been in and out of the team as he adapts to life back in Glasgow after no shortage of injury problems in North London.
Former Celt Mulgrew would love to see the pair reunited in the Hoops after forming an effective partnership on the left-hand side for Scotland.

And should the champions appoint Nancy, then he sees that as a perfect opportunity to unleash a Robertson-Tierney combo.
“I have seen he was linked to Celtic.," he told GO Radio. "A pre-contract. 100%, I would take him back. Why not?
“I know Kieran Tierney has come in. So, you have two left-backs. What would you do with them?
“If Nancy comes in and plays a back three. There you go, right away. Tierney is your left centre-back, and Robertson is your left wing-back.
“But then again, the argument would be, do you pay a massive part of your budget and wages on two left-backs? That would maybe be the balance. It depends on what your budget is. You would want your big money going on strikers and creative midfielders."
