NFL bold predictions for Week 11

If you boldly predicted that the Miami Dolphins would hand the Buffalo Bills a 17-point loss in Week 10, then feel free to comment down below your predictions for the upcoming Powerball drawing because that was a bold prediction that came to fruition in spectacular fashion. Here is a closer look at my bold predictions for Week 11 of NFL action.

Both Justin Fields and Tyrod Taylor See the Field Against the New England Patriots

Jets head coach Aaron Glenn may not be willing to tell the media who is the starting quarterback, but it wouldn’t be surprising if the starter struggles against a stingy New England Patriots and gets benched for their counterpart on Thursday Night Football.

A shootout between Marcus Mariota and Tua Tagovailoa could be hard to fathom for some NFL fans, but neither of the defenses gets me excited about stopping a nosebleed at the moment. Sure, the Dolphins’ defense showed signs of life against Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills, but have failed to string together solid defensive performances throughout the entirety of the season.

Jameis Winston Throws for Three Touchdowns and Three Interceptions Against the Packers

Jameis Winston is a rollercoaster experience under center in the NFL. He may not see enough snaps in 2025 to give NFL fans a full-blown 30-for-30 sequel, but facing a stingy Packers defense coming off a loss should give us plenty of entertainment if Jaxson Dart is not available to start in Week 11.

Cam Ward Gets His Second Win of the Season

It has been a brutal rookie year for the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, but if CJ Stroud isn’t able to go for a second straight week, then Ward projects as the best quarterback on the field for this contest. I’m not going to project Ward for a monster game against a stout Texans’ defense — I am bold, but not that bold — but I could see him managing the game effectively enough to pull off an upset win at home.

J.J. McCarthy Improves to 2-0 Against Caleb Williams

We all know it has been a tough year for J.J. McCarthy in 2025, but I am old enough to remember when he played lights out in the fourth quarter against the Chicago Bears back in Week 1.

To be fair, since that contest, Caleb Williams has been a fourth-quarter comeback merchant — including two straight improbable wins with late-game heroics from the USC product.

McCarthy has been up and down since his return to the lineup, but has provided some flashes against the Detroit Lions and Baltimore Ravens. Expect things to come a bit easier against this banged-up Chicago secondary in Week 11.

Justin Herbert Throws for Four Scores Against Jacksonville

Ever heard the Tom Petty classic Free Falling’? Well, that should be the Jaguars team anthem at the moment. The Jags are with Travis Hunter for the rest of the season and could be without Brian Thomas Jr. again in Week 11. I don’t see them sustaining enough drives against a Los Angeles Chargers defense that just embarrassed Aaron Rodgers last week, which should provide Justin Herbert with enough possessions to torch this Jags defense.

Falcons Snap Four-Game Losing Streak Off the Heels of a 200 Total Yard Performance from Bijan Robinson

Speaking of free fallin’, the Atlanta Falcons continue to plummet down the NFC South standings after their overtime loss at the hands of the Indianapolis Colts, which marks their fourth straight loss.

It has been a while since we have seen a big game from Bijan Robinson, which could make this must-win game a perfect time for a star player to deliver a memorable performance to keep their slim postseason hopes alive.

Broncos Upset the Chiefs

It is very popular to dunk on Broncos QB Bo Nix after his rough performance against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 10, but he did manage to win that football game — along with seven other contests this year.

Styles make fights. The Chiefs don’t run the ball well, which forces them to drop back and pass early and often. No team has been better at getting after the quarterback in 2025 than the Denver Broncos, who have 46 sacks this year.

Yes, Andy Reid off a bye is the stuff of myth, and Patrick Mahomes is NFL all-time royalty, but the strengths of this Broncos defense could seriously hinder the Chiefs one consistent way to score points this year — which feels like a recipe for an upset for the Chiefs on the road in Week 11.

A.J. Brown Has 100+ Yards and a Score Against Detroit

All concerning fantasy football comments from A.J. Brown on a recent streaming appearance aside, the Eagles need to get A.J. Brown the ball to have a chance to win against the Detroit Lions. This Lions’ offense is highly unlikely to put a dud like we just saw from the Green Bay Packers, which makes Brown a great bounce-back candidate in Week 11.

Baker Mayfield Hands Josh Allen His Second Two-Game Losing Streak of the Season

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Buffalo Bills have both cooled off a bit after hot starts, which makes this an interesting storyline for the loser of this contest.

The Bucs are still likely to be without players like Chris Godwin and Jalen McMillan this week, but could get Bucky Irving back. Additionally, the Bucs do have a healthy Emeka Egbuka to lean on and the passing game showed progress with big games from Cade Otton and Tez Johnson on Sunday.

The Bills are likely to be without Dalton Kincaid this week, which makes this pedestrian collection of Bills’ pass-catchers that much more uninspiring entering a matchup against a boom-or-bust defense. I expect Baker to be able to generate enough offense to force the Bills out of a run-heavy game script — which could exploit the Bills’ weakest part of their roster in a high-scoring affair.
