The Philadelphia Eagles improved to 7-2 following their 10-7 victory over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. The win secured their position as the top seed in the NFC while extending a trend of strong starts under the current regime.

Philadelphia has now begun four consecutive seasons with a record of 7-2 or better. With their Week 11 matchup against the Detroit Lions approaching, the organization made two roster moves on Wednesday. The Eagles signed defensive end Titus Leo to the practice squad and released defensive back Ambry Thomas, the team announced on X.

Leo has traveled a winding path through professional football since entering the league. He previously spent time on Philadelphia’s practice squad earlier this season before being released.

The 6-foot-3 defender earned back-to-back conference Defensive Player of the Year honors at Wagner and received FCS All-American recognition in 2021. The Indianapolis Colts selected him in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

Leo appeared in four games with the New England Patriots, recording four tackles, including one for loss and one pass breakup. The Tennessee Titans claimed him off waivers in April but released him during roster cuts in early August. His return to Philadelphia gives him another opportunity to establish himself at the NFL level.

Thomas joined the Eagles’ practice squad in late August 2025 after a lengthy journey through multiple organizations. The San Francisco 49ers selected him in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft with the 102nd overall pick.

He has since spent time with several teams, including the Indianapolis Colts and Minnesota Vikings, before landing on the Eagles’ practice squad. Despite flashes of potential, his stint in Philadelphia was short-lived, as the team has now released him.
