**West Ham have become one of many clubs to be interested in Brazilian wonderkid Allan Elias, who’s valued at around the £20 million mark by Palmeiras.**
Allan Elias has suddenly become the 21-year-old who has emerged as a potential target for numerous Premier League sides, with the ones at the forefront being Everton, West Ham and Fulham.
The three clubs have supposedly been watching the Brazilian ahead of finalising their targets for January, and it is thought that an offer around the £20 million mark would be enough despite his £84 million release clause, which is more often than not common for Brazilian clubs to do with their players.
The Hammers have already tried with a Brazilian ‘wonderkid’ once and ultimately failed; the promising signing of Guilherme hasn’t turned out how it was supposed to be, and now the club might find themselves being lured into this trap once again.
If we look at Allan’s stats, he’s played a career total of 50 matches, achieving 10 G/A across them, which is quite successful for your first campaign, but he plays as an attacking midfielder, and that output he’s provided in the Brazilian league obviously wouldn’t be the same as the Premier League.
He’s been described as a ‘diamond’ by numerous figures and people within Brazil highly believe that he will be a gem in the future to come.
It could be worth a punt for £18 million or so, or a deal that involves significant add-ons, but it would be crucial to make sure that we don’t get caught up in a bidding war with numerous clubs and end up paying a significant fee that isn’t worth it.
He could certainly be a good player for the Hammers if we were to sign him, but that would all depend on the price.
