“Looking at him…:” Premier League duo monitoring “untouchable” West Ham superstar

The January transfer window is shaping up to be a hectic one for West Ham United.

After a bruising start to the campaign, Nuno Espírito Santo is expected to be active on both fronts — incomings and outgoings — as he tries to drag the Hammers away from the relegation scrap.

A new striker is viewed as essential, with Lucas Stassin the latest forward linked as West Ham search for someone to improve on the misfiring current options. Out wide, Adama Traoré, who thrived under Nuno at Wolves, is also strongly mentioned as a target.

But it won’t just be additions.

James Ward-Prowse, Luis Guilherme, and Niclas Füllkrug all look increasingly likely to leave the London Stadium after difficult spells.

And now, one of the club’s biggest stars is being linked with a move — though whether he actually goes anywhere is another matter entirely.

According to Football Insider, both Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are monitoring West Ham talisman Jarrod Bowen.

The 28-year-old continues to attract interest thanks to his consistent Premier League output, but West Ham are said to only consider his departure if an “irresistible” offer arrives.

Bowen signed a long-term extension in 2023 that keeps him under contract until 2030, giving the Hammers full control over his future.

Speaking on the Inside Track podcast, journalist Pete O’Rourke made it clear just how important Bowen is to the club.

“He’s probably the one and only untouchable player in that squad right now.

“I think most other players that are in that squad would be for sale at the right price as well, but Bowen is the heartbeat of that West Ham team.”

O’Rourke continued: “They need to keep him and Jarrod will be looking to build his team around him. He’s on a long-term contract until 2030, so it’s not like West Ham are under any real pressure to sell Jarrod Bowen as well.

“But no surprise that clubs will be looking at him — Tottenham, Liverpool — because even in that struggling side, he still scores goals and he’s a proven Premier League player.”

For West Ham, losing Bowen — their captain, top scorer for four straight seasons and the face of the squad — would be a seismic blow.

The good news? Every indication is that he’s staying put.
