Lions 'Legion of Whom' could catch a huge break thanks to latest A.J. Brown fiasco

While the Detroit Lions' health is a concern headed into their Week 11 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles, it feels like the drama involving the Eagles' offense might actually make things a bit easier for them.

One of Philadelphia's best receivers, A.J. Brown, stirred the pot this week after yet another quiet game for him. Brown finished up the Eagles' win over the Green Bay Packers with just two targets for 13 total receiving yards. He's only at 408 receiving yards and three touchdowns on the season, notching yet another abnormally low-production year for the wideout.

Brown isn't too happy about this. He said on a recent stream of Madden that anyone who had recently added him to their fantasy team should remove him, adding that everything aside from football in his life has been good.

This could go one of two ways: Brown will either continue to struggle in Week 11 against the "Legion of Whom" set to be deployed against Philadelphia, or they'll be in a world of trouble as Philadelphia looks to quickly bury any notion that Brown isn't a key piece to their offense.

Brown's woes could mean good news for 'Legion of Whom'

The drama surrounding Brown's involvement reached a fever pitch on Wednesday, with head coach Nick Sirriani telling reporters he's essentially done commenting on the topic. Brown told reporters in the locker room the same day that his frustrations should be on full display for all to see.

This could help out the Lions' secondary, which is already going to be feeling the pain without Terrion Arnold, assuming he's not out of concussion protocol in time for this contest. The backup crew behind Brian Branch could be dealing with a pretty one-dimensional Eagles offense, considering how their year has gone so far under OC Kevin Patullo.

It's really Philadelphia's defense that could present a problem for Detroit. The Lions' offensive line has struggled with good pass-rushing teams, and the Eagles just reinforced their defensive front by trading for Jaelan Phillips at the trade deadline. Between him and Jalen Carter, Detroit could have their hands full.

And, we might see a redux of what went down between the Eagles and Packers during Monday Night Football.

We'll see who gets the fateful assignment against DeVonta Smith, the Eagles' leading receiver. But, it doesn't seem like the Lions need to stress too much about their plans to cover Brown - Philadelphia seems to already be scheming him out of the game, anyway.
