Nuno Espirito Santo already tops Graham Potter and Julen Lopetegui for a crucial stat that shows West Ham’s mentality has changed.
Transfer talk is heating up for West Ham, as Nuno will be looking to improve his side in the January market.
West Ham want to escape Premier League relegation, and after a poor start by Potter, Nuno seems to be turning the ship around.
Nuno was vocal when he arrived at E20, voicing his opinion on the change he wanted to see at West Ham.
Following West Ham’s 3-2 win over Burnley on Saturday before the international break, the Hammers have now officially improved in one key area with Nuno at the wheel.

Nuno has gained more points from losing positions than Julen Lopetegui and Graham Potter
Most of West Ham’s current problems have stemmed from David Sullivan allowing Lopetegui to spend £100m on poor transfers.
Lopetegui managed just 20 Premier League games in charge of the Hammers, while Potter had 23.
Now, Nuno has more points from losing positions in the Premier League after five matches than both of the previous head coaches combined.

Julen Lopetegui and Graham Potter 43 (combined) 6
Nuno’s stats in comparison with Lopetegui and Potter
Nuno previously revealed his “main message” was that he wanted to see a mentality shift when he walked through the doors at Rush Green.
In October, Nuno said: “We need to compete, we need to be strong, we need to be brave, it’s the West Ham way. Let’s try.”

The points showing can’t be overlooked, and Nuno needs to be praised for the work he’s done in a short space of time, as other statistics further prove the effect he has had on the team.
West Ham’s spirit will keep them up
The Irons have gone behind on three occasions with Nuno, with the first game against Everton showing what West Ham fans would be in for, after a comeback draw.
West Ham have won consecutive games in the Premier League, but it’s the underlying data which impresses the most from both previous matches.
West Ham won 57% of their total duels against Newcastle
That included 64% of ground duels
Against Burnley, Nuno’s side got stuck in with 14 tackles, making 15 fouls
With that being said, the showings should give West Ham fans confidence that Nuno and this set of players can keep the club in the Premier League.
The players are fully committed, fighting hard for the badge.
Nuno knows what he’s doing, and if given the keys in January, he could take the Hammers to new heights.
