Nnadozie over 'lonely' start - and ready to shine for Albion at the Amex

The dominant Nigeria goalkeeper stunned fans when she revealed she cried through loneliness when she went home after training in her early days at the club.

Nnadozie, who helped Nigeria win WAFCON in the summer, has stood out on the pitch and will be key for the Seagulls as they host Leicester City on Sunday (midday).

She told The Argus: “I'm okay now. You know, sometimes in life, there's a way you're going to picture something.

“Okay, this is how this thing will look like.

“And, when you come, it will be like, ‘Wow, this is not what you think’.

“So, when I came, I thought it was going to be easy because, even while I was in France, I wasn't alone. I had family members coming.

“So coming here, spending how many weeks, nobody, no family member, no friend, you know.

“It's not even about the football. It's about life after football.”

Nnadozie’s family are due to join her soon and already know the challenge she faces.

She added: “I knew what was going to happen and I told with my family, ‘Hey, it's not going to be easy. I mean, don't expect any magic. This is this is the best league in the world’.”
