Daniel Farke Leeds United
Fabrizio Romano has offered an update on Leeds United’s decision to either stick with or sack Daniel Farke. The manager had come under pressure after recent results. The Whites had a very positive start to the season and surprised almost everyone.
But things have gone south since, and now the club are just one point above the relegation zone. And looking at their next four fixtures, there could be a real possibility that they end November in the bottom three. Farke made some tweaks to the team which worked after the September break, but it looks like Leeds have regressed since then. Aston Villa, Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool lie in wait for Farke and United over the next three weeks.

The attack has been a problem, as the players have not been able to convert their chances; Dominic Calvert-Lewin the most guilty this season. Leeds’ top scorer in the league this season has converted just one of his five big chances this campaign. Defensively, the Whites have not been great either after a promising start. A combination of poor goalkeeping and defensive slip ups have cost them crucial points so far.
Fabrizio Romano gives update on Leeds United boss Daniel Farke
Make no mistake, Daniel Farke is under pressure, the Mail recently reported that the German has the next four games to turn the season around. Unfortunately for Leeds, they face four of the best teams in the Premier League.
Romano has confirmed that Farke will remain in the hot seat until at least the end of this international break. A decision that will split the fanbase, with some believing he deserves more time, while others believe he is sure to lose his job after the upcoming game and should be relieved of his duties now.
Romano confirmed the update on the Leeds boss via his weekly newsletter, stating: “At the moment, he is still under control. But, of course, results must change as soon as possible to avoid surprises.”
This is in line with recent reports saying that he has until the end of this month to get some points on the board. Graham Smyth recently predicted that the German will be sacked in the first week of December if Leeds do not pick up a handful of points in the next four games. Smyth believes Leeds will need to beat Aston Villa, if they don’t then the Yorkshire Evening Post reporter says Farke will need to somehow get results at home to Chelsea and Liverpool – believing the Whites are nailed on to lose at the Etihad Stadium against Manchester City.
Leeds United fans split on Daniel Farke
Fans can look at this season under Daniel Farke from two different points of view. The first being that he is a bad coach and has failed to make his team get crucial results. Even though there are games where his tactics have let the players down, overall Leeds had been competitive, barring a 5-0 defeat at Arsenal, in every game up until facing Brighton and Nottingham Forest.
Farke was written off before the season began, with many tipping him to be sacked in the summer. But just 11 games in the season, his side are above the drop zone. In fact, his Leeds side are level on points with Marco Silva’s Fulham, and the Portuguese coach is one of the better coaches in the league. The next four games will be crucial, but Farke has pulled off some results against the odds already this season. He will need his team to play to a level they have never reached before if Leeds are to pick up points in the next three weeks, it’s either than or the German will be replaced by the second week of December.
