“In the Right Direction”: Buffalo Bills Reveal Top Targets Game Status

The Buffalo Bills host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Highmark Stadium for Week 11 of the regular season. Injuries continue to pile up in the receiving corps, with three offensive weapons dealing with injuries. Dalton Kincaid will not play on Sunday after suffering a hamstring injury during the third quarter last week against the Miami Dolphins.

Khalil Shakir must have suffered an ankle and rib injury in Week 10 because he popped up on Week 11’s injury report despite playing the usual workload of 66% of offensive snaps. As a result, he was limited on Wednesday and Thursday. Since Shakir is the Bills’ leading receiver with 45 receptions for 457 yards and three touchdowns, they cannot afford for him to miss time.

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Khalil Shakir has a laugh on the sidelines during first half action against the Kansas City Chiefs at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park on Nov. 2, 2025.

During Friday’s press conference, Sean McDermott told the media that Khalil Shakir is “heading in the right direction,” as reported by Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic. The top receiver then upgraded to a full participant on Friday, an encouraging development. The Bills released their Week 11 injury report, and Shakir doesn’t carry an official injury designation and will play against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Bills HC Sean McDermott said on WGR-AM that TE Dalton Kincaid and DT Phidarian Mathis are OUT vs. the Buccaneers.

WR Khalil Shakir is “heading in the right direction and should be in a good spot for the game.” That’s a bit of a surprise.

Will their free-agent acquisition play?

Josh Palmer suffered a knee and ankle injury in Week 6 against the Atlanta Falcons, resulting in him missing the previous three games. The former Los Angeles Charger was a full participant during this week’s practice. Similar to Shakir, Palmer also doesn’t carry an injury designation and will play on Sunday.
