Manchester United are tracking young starlet Kennet Eichhorn, who has been dubbed the next Toni Kroos in Germany. The Hertha Berlin teenager is drawing interest from scouts from United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal, who have watched his exploits.

Eichhorn, 16, has made 10 appearances in Bundesliga 2 this season after making his debut against Karlsruhe in August. And already the youngster has a flurry of followers from all around Europe.

The Hertha star is even said to have a release clause of around £10million in the summer, per Mail Online. Bayern Munich hope to keep Eichhorn's talents in Germany, but will have their work cut out.

In addition to competition from the Premier League, European giants Real Madrid, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are all reported to have scouted the prospect.

The defensive midfielder signed his first professional contract earlier this year and became the youngest debutant in Bundesliga 2 against Karlsruher, aged 16 years and 14 days. Eichhorn is already impressing.

"Sixteen years old, playing in front of 50,000 fans against a top side – for me, he was by far the best player on the pitch,” said Hertha boss Stefan Leitl following his first start against Hannover.

United have made a decision on the transfer future of another young star. Harry Amass, on loan at Sheffield Wednesday, is going to be allowed to remain with the Owls following the January transfer window.

The Manchester United left-back joined the Championship side on loan in September and is set to see his temporary stay extended. The teenager has not missed a minute of his last 10 games in the Championship

The England under-19 is enjoying his first spell in senior football. United landed Amass in August 2023 after the defender spent his early years with Watford.

Meanwhile, Ruben Amorim is mulling over whether to conduct any business in January. "Of course, we are going to have a problem there [with AFCON]," he said. "But we already knew.

"Then you can prepare that in the summer, but then you have a lot of players in the summer who are not going to play because it's one game per week. So the management of that situation is going to be hard.

"But let's see when the window is open, if we can improve the team and try to prepare something that happened. Until then, we have to take the chance."
