Manchester United are monitoring teenage sensation Kennet Eichhorn, who has been labelled the next Toni Kroos in his native Germany.
The Hertha Berlin youngster has attracted attention from scouts representing United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal, who have been observing his performances.
The 16-year-old has featured 10 times in Bundesliga 2 this season following his debut against Karlsruhe in August. Already the teenager has attracted widespread interest from across Europe.
The Hertha prospect is said to have a release clause of approximately £10million next summer, according to Mail Online. Bayern Munich are keen to retain Eichhorn's services in Germany, though face significant challenges.
Beyond competition from the Premier League, European heavyweights Real Madrid, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain have all reportedly sent scouts to watch the youngster.
The defensive midfielder penned his first professional contract earlier this year and became the youngest ever debutant in Bundesliga 2 against Karlsruher, aged 16 years and 14 days.
"Sixteen years old, playing in front of 50,000 fans against a top side – for me, he was by far the best player on the pitch," said Hertha manager Stefan Leitl after his first start against Hannover.

United have reached a verdict on the transfer future of another emerging talent. Harry Amass, currently on loan at Sheffield Wednesday, will be permitted to stay with the Owls beyond the January transfer window.
The Manchester United left-back joined the Championship club on loan in September and looks set to have his temporary spell prolonged. The teenager has featured in every minute of his past 10 Championship fixtures.
The England under-19 international is experiencing his debut campaign in senior football. United secured Amass in August 2023 following the defender's formative years at Watford.
Meanwhile, Ruben Amorim is considering whether to pursue any transfer activity in January. "Of course, we are going to have a problem there [with AFCON]," he said.
"But we already knew. Then you can prepare that in the summer, but then you have a lot of players in the summer who are not going to play because it's one game per week. So the management of that situation is going to be hard.
"But let's see when the window is open, if we can improve the team and try to prepare something that happened. Until then, we have to take the chance."
