Everton boss David Moyes cannot ignore what he has witnessed in Everton training.
Everton have several players on international duty, but a lot of the squad have remained with the club after not being selected.
Jack Grealish was probably the most notable omission, with Thomas Tuchel not picking the Blues star for his latest English squad.
However, those who have been left behind can make an impression on the Scotsman, including the academy products.

Three Everton academy gems train with the first-team
One thing that Moyes does not do enough is promote his youth academy players into the first-team picture.

However, that may be changing, as Everton’s academy account took to X on 13 November to share images of Will Tamen, Douglass Lukjanciks and Reece Welch in training with the senior side at Finch Farm.

The trio are highly rated on the blue half of Merseyside, and Moyes has surely taken notice of what he has seen.
Why Everton need to put their faith in youth
The Friedkin Group have shown that they are willing to back Moyes in the transfer market, but they should also pay attention to the academy.
Everton have often profited from their youth graduates, with the likes of Wayne Rooney, Jack Rodwell, Anthony Gordon and Ross Barkley earning big profits for the Toffees.
Rooney came through at 16, earned a £27million move to Manchester United, before coming back to Goodison Park in 2017
Rodwell left for Manchester City in a £15m in 2012
Barkley was also sold for £15m when he left the Blues in 2018
Gordon joined Newcastle in a £55m deal in 2023
While the academy has proven profitable, it could also help the Blues to fill out their squad, without paying extortionate fees in the market, if they decided to promote talent, as they did with Jarrad Branthwaite.
Evertonians have seen the likes of Mohamed Ali-Cho, Isaac Price and Thierry Small depart and thrive elsewhere recently, and they will not want the same thing to happen with their most promising crop of youngsters this time.
The latest developments are encouraging, but there is a long way to go before they actually play for the Blues on a regular basis.
