Kroupi fires for France in Euro Under-21 qualifier

Junior Kroupi came off the bench to net a leveller for France under-21s against Switzerland this evening.

With his side 1-0 down to Alessandro Vogt’s 38th-minute opener in the EURO Under-21 qualifier at Stade de la Tuilière, the AFC Bournemouth forward earned his nation a point in a 1-1 draw.

Getting himself on the end of a slick France counter-attack, the 19-year-old fired into the bottom corner from 18 yards.

The draw sees France sit fourth in their six-team qualifying group, with seven points from three games played. They have played the fewest number of qualifiers in the group thus far.

They host table-toppers Faroe Islands in their next game on Monday (8pm kick-off UK time).
