The Commanders fan has been banned for life
The Washington Commanders have handed out a lifetime ban after a fan tried to storm the field during their recent matchup against the Detroit Lions on Sunday.
Security at Northwest Stadium was already on high alert because Donald Trump was attending the game to commemorate Veterans' Day, before delivering remarks during the contest. Trump occupied the owner's suite, despite recently criticizing co-owner Josh Harris after requesting their new venue be named in his honor. He was also mercilessly booed by fans.
The Commanders suffered a crushing loss at Northwest Stadium to Dan Campbell's Lions with a final score of 44-22 in yet another disheartening setback for Washington. And it was during this that a fan tried to storm the field.

It remains unknown what motivated the supporter to attempt rushing onto the field, with security personnel swiftly responding and bringing him down. Needless to say, he has now been banned for life.
Lions long snapper Hayden Hatten faced accusations of provoking the fan after being spotted talking to spectators, but he has pushed back against those allegations.
"The video going around suggesting I was arguing with a Commanders fan before he rushed the field is inaccurate," Hatten wrote on social media.
