Happy Friday, and I hope yinz are doing well.
The up-and-down Pittsburgh Steelers showed their inconsistencies yet again this past week. After a dominant home win against one of the AFC’s best teams a week prior, the Steelers went out and laid an egg on national television for the third time in four weeks. This time, it was brutal offensive play that plagued them in their loss to the Chargers.
The Steelers just can’t seem to get both sides of the ball working at the same time. When the offense is humming, the defense can’t stop a nosebleed. And when the defense plays better, like it has the last two weeks, the offense just looks anemic.
Now, the Steelers have another tough divisional matchup coming this week. In their last loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, they scored points at will but allowed them at an even higher rate. Joe Flacco has been playing just as well as he did the last time the Steelers saw the Bengals, so the defense will need to look much better. Fortunately, the Steelers get the Bengals at home this time around. The last time the Steelers played at home, it ended in a big rebound win. We’ll see if the same fortunes are in store come Sunday.
As always, we’re here with you throughout the weekend with whatever news comes our way.
Have a safe and happy weekend.

Recap: Week 10 Weekend: Steelers Friday Night Five Questions
56 respondents answered last week’s questions. But no weekly bonus winners.
Q1: Will the Steelers beat the Chargers?
The Pittsburgh Steelers were three-point underdogs in Los Angeles. But missing their top three tackles, the Chargers’ depleted offensive line could have been exploited. Plus, plenty of Steelers fans offset the home field advantage. But Aaron Rodgers played like a rookie and Pittsburgh lost 25-10. Only 13 of 56 (23.2 percent) of respondents picked the Steelers to lose.
Q2: Do the Steelers sack Chargers QB Justin Herbert over/under 3.5 times?
The Steelers exploited the Chargers’ depleted offensive line. Alex Highsmith (2), T.J. Watt, Nick Herbig and Keeanu Benton sacked Justin Herbert. Five sacks is a satisfactory performance. But no forced fumbles and Herbert remained composed. Twenty-six of 56 (46.4 percent) respondents predicted the Steelers sacking Herbert over 3.5 times.
Q3: Will DK Metcalf have O/U 3.5 receptions?
DK Metcalf caught three of seven passes thrown to him. One miss was an overthrow that would have resulted in a touchdown early in the game. Another missed pass was in tight coverage in the end zone that he really did not have a chance to catch. The third was an overthrow that the Chargers intercepted. Only six of 56 (10.7 percent) predicted Metcalf catching under 3.5 receptions. If Aaron Rodgers threw more accurate passes, Metcalf would have easily exceeded that.
Q4: Will Aaron Rodgers pass for O/U 224.5 passing yards?
Aaron Rodgers played poorly. He threw an off-target ball to Jonnu Smith, who was completely open, which resulted in an incompletion. Another pass bounced off Calvin Austin’s hands, and former Steeler Donte Jackson intercepted it. Rodgers had under 100 passing yards going into the Steelers’ final possession. The Steelers gained 65 passing yards, capped by a 27-yard touchdown pass to Roman Wilson with three minutes to play, with no realistic chance to catch up. That final drive gave Rodgers 161 total passing yards in the game. Twenty of 56 (35.7 percent) of respondents picked Rodgers to gain under 224.5 passing yards.
Q5: Does Pittsburgh intercept a Justin Herbert pass?
Joey Porter missed an excellent opportunity to intercept a Justin Herbert pass. He was in front of the receiver, but the ball clanked off his hands. A costly missed takeaway, since a great punt led to a Chargers safety early in the game. Kyle Dugger also had a chance to intercept a tipped pass. But he just missed it as he contorted his body in an effort to cradle the ball before it hit the ground. 20 of 56 of respondents predicted that the Steelers wouldn’t intercept Justin Herbert.

Tiebreaker: How many combined passing yards will Aaron Rodgers and Justin Herbert throw for?
The tiebreaker — predicting how combined passing yards between Aaron Rodgers and Justin Herbert was crucial to determine this week’s winner. Rodgers passed for 161 yards and Herbert got 220 passing yards. That’s a combined 381 passing yards, compared to our median prediction of 510 yards.
No one answered all five questions correctly. And only two got four of five correct. Jeremy Miler picked the Steelers to win. But got the remaining questions right. He predicted 501 combined passing yards for the tiebreaker. Week 8 winner Style Points picked the Chargers to win. But they thought the Steelers would sack Herbert less than 3.5 times. Yet, they got closer to the tiebreaker by predicting 477 combined passing yards.

Banastre Tarleton has sole possession of the lead. Nick Schultz a point behind in second. Ratman and Chris92021 are just four points behind the leader in a tie for third.
A low scoring week. As a group, we got all five questions wrong which is rare. Three people dropped off the leaderboard. And no one managed to climb on this week.
Keep answering! Plenty of time to reach the top three money positions. And always a shot at being a weekly winner.
