The Green Bay Packers had an opportunity to stay on top of the NFC North last week when they faced the Philadelphia Eagles. The defense delivered, limiting Jalen Hurts and the Eagles to one touchdown and 10 total points. The offense, however, never found its rhythm at Lambeau Field, and Green Bay walked away with a 10-7 loss.

Shown are offensive tackle Anthony Belton (71), guard Sean Rhyan (75), guard Elgton Jenkins (74), offensive tackle Jordan Morgan (77) and offensive tackle Rasheed Walker (63).
The season pushes forward, and the 5-3-1 Packers head into a matchup that gives them a real chance to reset. They will meet a struggling New York Giants squad that sits at 2-8, recently dismissed Brian Daboll, and continues to battle major injuries. After watching his defense hold firm against Philadelphia, Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley said he expects Green Bay’s offense to respond with a far more explosive outing against the Giants.
He believes head coach Matt LaFleur and quarterback Jordan Love will have a real chance to attack New York’s vulnerable defense and put up significant production.

“I got confidence our offense is going to go out — and this is no disrespect to the Giants — and we’re going to score a lot of points. (LaFleur) is one of the best head coaches in all of the NFL and one of the best play callers,” Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley remarked about the team’s offense via The Athletic’s Matt Scheidmann.

Even though nothing clicked for the offense in Week ten against the Eagles, the Packers still possess enough firepower to push the ball with consistency when they settle in. Jordan Love remains the catalyst, having completed 197 of 286 passes for 2,247 yards with 13 touchdowns and 3 interceptions. He will aim to pressure the Giants secondary by working with Romeo Doubs, Matthew Golden and Christian Watson to open up the passing game.

All three receivers appeared on the injury report. Romeo Doubs, dealing with a chest issue, logged a full practice on Thursday. Matthew Golden, who is managing a shoulder concern, and Christian Watson, who is working through knee and hamstring issues, both took part on a limited basis.
The Packers will take on the Giants on Sunday, November 16 at MetLife Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 12 p.m. CT.
