'Confidence tenures coming to an end': Sullivan and Brady resignations demanded ahead of…

Under-fire majority owner David Sullivan and vice-chair Karren Brady are facing new calls for their instant resignations from West Ham ahead of a big announcement.

West Ham finally look to be turning things around on the pitch under Nuno Espirito Santo.

But the pressure is still being piled on the owners off it.

West Ham fans have launched an unprecedented campaign of protests this season in order to force the board out.

The protests, which included the biggest ever mass march against the West Ham ownership before the win over Burnley, have focused primarily on David Sullivan and Karren Brady.

West Ham’s Fan Advisory Board issued a public vote of no confidence in the board in September, prompting the club to send Brady to meet with them.

Rumours claimed Sullivan and Brady are set to leave West Ham

A subsequent meeting has been held and on each occasion supporters have issued a list of demands for change to the ownership.

One of those was for majority owner Sullivan and Brady to stand down from the day-to-day running of West Ham United.

Amid takeover rumours ahead of the FAB’s vote of no confidence, Brady insisted West Ham’s owners are going nowhere.

That was before fed-up fans applied relentless pressure on them to sell up and ship out.

Prominent fan group Hammers United, which boasts a 25,000 membership, has been leading the protests under the slogan ‘No More BS’ using the initials of Brady and Sullivan.

Hammers United have vowed to continue their protests all season long until Sullivan and Brady act on their demands.

As yet there has been little sign of the duo, or any of the other members of the Hammers board, standing down.

Earlier this week Hammers United responded to claims Sullivan and Brady are now set to leave West Ham.

From the board’s perspective, they will clearly hope Nuno can continue his turnaround in fortunes on the pitch in order to take the pressure off the boardroom.

But Hammers supporters have pledged to continue their activism regardless of results for the ‘greater good of the club’s long-term future’.

Sullivan and Brady resignations demanded ahead of announcement

Now there are new calls for the instant resignation of Sullivan and Brady as tension hits new levels ahead of a looming announcement.

Supporters have made their feelings clear, demanding sweeping change at the top of the club once more.

In a new statement, Hammers United say Sullivan and Brady must stand down from their roles with immediate effect.

Should they fail to do so then a new protest will be announced for the club’s forthcoming fixtures, with a high profile game against Liverpool the next home game later this month.

In a new statement, Hammers United have once again called for Sullivan and Brady to resign.

And they state there is a ‘palpable sense of confidence’ that the tenures of Brady and Sullivan are coming to an end.

“Like everybody else, we at Hammers United felt that the No More BS march on Saturday 8 November was a great day for both West Ham United Football Club and West Ham United fans,” Hammers United state.

“We organised a well attended, peaceful, and hugely successful demonstration which saw many thousands of West Ham fans march from Stratford station to the gates of the London Stadium, and which received extensive, positive coverage from the national and local press, multiple national news and media outlets, as well as dozens of West Ham podcasts and beyond.

‘Confidence tenure of Brady and Sullivan coming to end’

“Throughout the march there was a carnival atmosphere and a palpable sense of confidence that the tenure of Karren Brady and David Sullivan was coming to an end. The attending fans took this spirit of optimism into the London Stadium which led to a dramatic improvement in the atmosphere, and contributed towards a much needed and well earned win for our team.

“Perhaps most important of all is the belief that this genuine grassroots movement among West Ham fans is getting bigger by the day, and that this movement will be hugely influential in pushing our great club forward.

“But we can’t afford to rest on our laurels, the battle is far from over. We must redouble our efforts to achieve change as soon as possible, which must begin with the resignations of Karren Brady and David Sullivan.

“Until these two no longer have a part to play in the running of West Ham United, we will never move forward as a club.

“Hammers United are already in the advanced stages of planning our next steps for the No More BS campaign, and we will keep you informed as soon as we can.”
