Crystal Palace’s Daniel Muñoz says Manchester United are one of his dream clubs.
The right-back is now with Colombia, preparing for friendlies against New Zealand and Australia.
AS in Colombia cover the 29-year-old’s comments on him responding to recent reports linking him with a move away from Crystal Palace. This is when he named Manchester United, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain as his dream clubs.
The fullback has been the first choice at Crystal Palace since joining them from KRC Genk in January 2024. Back in April, the FA Cup winners rewarded him with a new contract until 2028, with an option for another year.
His impressive performances for Crystal Palace have seen him get linked to a few clubs.
On Thursday, we covered claims from Colombia that Chelsea, Barcelona and PSG have contacted his agent. Manchester City are also said to be in the mix.
There was no mention of Manchester United or Real Madrid. Despite this the Crystal Palace star says he’s working towards securing a dream move.
“First of all, I think there’s a lot of talk about one club or another,” he said.
“If you ask me, it would be a dream to play for one of these clubs, whether it’s Barcelona, PSG, Real Madrid, or Manchester United.
“I think I’m working towards that. I strive every day to one day attract the attention of one of these clubs, because for me, it’s a dream to get there.”
His immediate focus is at Crystal Palace but he isn’t ruling out a move in January.
“If you ask me, I don’t have concrete information any of these clubs are interested in me,” Muñoz explained.
“My focus is on Crystal Palace. We’ll see when the winter transfer window gets closer.”
