FootballTalk - Episode 210: Leeds United, Doncaster Rovers and Rob Edwards' sour exit from Middlesbrough
Mateo Joseph has indicated his Leeds United days may be numbered - by claiming he would like to stay at Mallorca.
The 22-year-old played a bit-part role last season as Leeds clinched the Championship title, finding himself behind Joel Piroe and latterly Patrick Bamford in the pecking order.
However, as a Spain youth international believed to have a bright future, it appeared likely Leeds would be keeping him around.

Mateo Joseph admission
When asked if he would like to stay at Mallorca by Marca, Joseph responded: “Yes, I'm very happy here. But well, you never know, I'd say it doesn't really depend on me right now, but we'll see.”
There is no buy option in Joseph’s loan deal and Leeds would most likely demand a significant fee for the young frontman.
So far this term, he has registered two goals and two assists across 12 appearances in the country of his birth.
‘Found the right formula’
He said: “I’m feeling great. This year I’m trying to pay a little more attention to the details, like my diet and everything. I’m very happy because it seems I’ve finally found the right formula.
“In the end, Mallorca did an exceptional job [pitching to me], both the sporting director and the manager.

“They conveyed the confidence they had in me, and that convinced me from the very beginning. They knew me very well and had a lot of faith in me, and I want to repay that confidence.
“I firmly believe that the more things I do well, the more of what the manager asks of me, the closer I'll be to scoring goals.
“t's true that there was a time when I felt more stressed about it, but now I feel very good, I think I'm doing things right, and that's why I'm much closer to scoring goals, for sure.”
