**Nick Woltemade has quickly become Julian Nagelsmann's main man up top for the German national side.**
The Newcastle United striker continues on his trajectory to the top after scooping the Golden Boot for Germany at the Under-21 European Championships in the summer before sealing a £69 million move to the Premier League.
During the last international break, Woltemade scored his first senior goal for Germany, and last night he bagged a brace in the 2-0 win over Luxembourg.
Both goals showed that Woltemade has the striker's instinct that many thought he may be lacking at Newcastle, given how he tends to prefer to receive the ball deep.

Nick Woltemade hit a goal with each foot against Luxembourg last night
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Big Nick was just a headed goal away from the perfect hat-trick after scoring his first goal with an instinctive finish with his left foot into the bottom right corner of the net, meeting a perfect Leroy Sane cross with a first-time hit.
The second goal saw the Toon striker arrive in the box at the right time to split the Luxembourg defence and get on the end of Ridle Baku's through ball and guide the ball into the bottom left corner off his right foot this time.
As YouTube's True Geordie pointed out in his post on X, if we can give Woltemade the service he deserves, he will put the ball in the net.
Nick Woltemade can bring his goal scoring form back to Newcastle
----------------------------------------------------------------
Germany play again on Monday, so there's a chance that Woltemade could find himself on the scoresheet again, which can only serve to boost his confidence coming back to Newcastle.
It's maybe a big ask to expect him to return and bang in goals against Manchester City at the Etihad, but that is the kind of game our lads actually turn up for these days.
Picking up our first away win in the league this season at the Etihad would certainly banish a lot of demons, and a Woltemade goal or two in the process would be ideal.
