Leeds United are seven days away from what could be one of the biggest weekends of their season.

The Premier League returns next weekend with seven Saturday games, a number of which Leeds supporters will no doubt be keeping a close eye on.

Burnley get the round 12 fixtures underway with a tough match at home to Chelsea, followed at 3pm by West Ham United travelling to high-flying Bournemouth for a difficult fixture, Fulham host Sunderland, Nottingham Forest take on Liverpool at Anfield, and basement strugglers Wolves at home to Crystal Palace.

The good news for Leeds, who don't have it any easier the following day against Aston Villa, is that all the teams around them in the Premier League table face testing games, which the majority are underdogs to pick anything up from.

However, a point for the Clarets and the Hammers will be enough to send Leeds into the relegation zone ahead of their game with Villa, while a win for Forest at a Liverpool side that have lost five of their last six league games, would see Leeds only ahead of Wolves in the table.

Of course, a reversal of those results and the Whites could be sitting on a four point cushion over the relegation places and with a guaranteed better points difference should the results go in their favour.

It's such small margins that make the difference in the Premier League, while an ability to pick up any points when an opportunity presents itself is crucial.

With manager Daniel Farke under pressure already, dropping into the relegation zone for the first time this season will only fire up the Farke out fanbase, while increasing the pressure ahead of Leeds' forthcoming games against Manchester City and Chelsea.

Getting something from the Villa match feels vital at this stage, but it is hard to escape the feeling a win is essential on what is shaping up to be a key weekend in the season.
