Daniel Munoz says he wants to ‘catch the attention’ of a major European club
Crystal Palace defender Daniel Munoz has named Manchester United as one of the ‘dream’ clubs he wants to play for.
Munoz joined Palace in a £6.8 million deal from Belgian side Genk in January last year and the 29-year-old has quickly established himself as one of the best right-backs in the Premier League.
The Colombia international was rewarded for his excellent form in April with a new contract which keeps him tied to Palace until 2028.
Munoz was also named Player of the Match when Palace beat Manchester City in the FA Cup final at Wembley in May.
Ahead of Colombia’s friendly against New Zealand in Florida on Saturday night, Munoz was asked about being linked with a move away from Palace when he named United as one of his favoured destination.

‘Everything I hear out there, all the talk about one club or another, if you ask me, for me it would be a dream to play for one of these clubs,’ Munoz said.
‘Whether it’s Barcelona, PSG, Real Madrid, or Manchester United, I work towards that, I strive every day, so that maybe one day I can catch the attention of one of these clubs because it’s a dream for me.
‘But the truth is that I’m focused on my club, on doing things well at Crystal Palace, and I’m not really aware of what’s being said on social media.
‘I don’t have any information that any of these clubs want me or are interested in me. These days my focus is on Crystal Palace and, obviously, here with the national team.’
