Rio Ngumoha took just 81 seconds to score his first England U19s goal on Saturday morning, with the Liverpool winger kicking off a 7-0 thrashing of Latvia.
Ngumoha was first called up to the England U19s squad in September, as a late addition from the U18s ranks, and he has kept his place ever since.
Saturday saw him make his seventh appearance for Will Antwi’s side and the 17-year-old marked with a stunning goal just 81 seconds into a 7-0 victory over Latvia.

Picking up the ball on the left flank, Ngumoha found himself double-marked as usual but created space by cutting inside onto his stronger right foot.
After finding distance between himself and the defenders he opened his body up and bent a curling effort beyond the goalkeeper and in for 1-0.
It came after a similarly impressive assist in England’s 2-0 win over Lithuania on Wednesday, which began their qualifying campaign for the U19 Euros.
Ngumoha played the full 90 minutes in Saturday’s victory, with Divine Mukasa scoring two, Jesse Derry netting a hat-trick and Chris Rigg adding the other.

Trey Nyoni also represented Liverpool as part of Antwi’s starting lineup, and the midfielder registered an assist for Derry’s third goal.
The 18-year-old played a smart interchange with the Chelsea forward, who bent his strike in off the post to make it 6-0 just after the hour mark and earn the match ball.
Nyoni was brought off after 68 minutes to be replaced by Man United‘s Harry Amass, and is likely to start again when England face Scotland U19s on Tuesday.

With two wins from two, nine goals scored and zero conceded, it has been a perfect start to qualifying so far.
England are already all but guaranteed a place in the elite round of qualifiers which will be held in the March international break – with the result of Scotland’s clash with Lithuania on Saturday afternoon potentially confirming their progress.
The majority of Ngumoha’s game time this season has come at international level, clocking 375 minutes on the pitch for England U19s while only managing 207 for Liverpool.
