C.J. Gardner-Johnson, Dennis Allen's relationship making big impact

LAKE FOREST, Ill., — Though he has only played two games with the team this season, defensive back C.J. Gardner-Johnson has already made his presence felt. A plethora of injuries to the defensive secondary led the Chicago Bears to make a call to Gardner-Johnson, a veteran player who had not been on a team's active roster since being released by Houston after three games in September.

"It's just a blessing to be here, like I said I was home for a month and a half," Gardner-Johnson said postgame after the win Sunday against the Giants.
