Sean Payton says ‘crowd noise is super important’ for Broncos against the Chiefs

Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton is amped to be playing at home against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.

Obviously, the crowd at Empower Field at Mile High will play a huge factor in the outcome.

On Friday, Payton was asked about that. He wants Denver fans to make life tough on Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, one of the best to ever do it.

“I think the most important thing is crowd noise in the huddle. And to the line of scrimmage. The altitude is obviously not crowd related. But we’ve played in some noisy stadiums,” Payton said.

Clearly, Sean Payton knows the altitude will be a factor, but he also thinks the fans can’t control that. At the end of the day, it’s about them making things tough on the Chiefs, regardless of whether or not the game is played at elevation.

“I think the crowd noise is super important, with pass-rush, third-down, it doesn’t just have to be third-down, but when they’re in the huddle it would surprise you how hard it is,” Payton said. “Some stadiums are promoting that noise and I would say in the huddle is just as important because talking to the first-eleven can get hectic It’s an important game, it’s a division game, but crowd noise can certainly benefit us,” Sean Payton said.

Broncos Country will look to bring the noise and boost Denver to 9-2 while sending Kansas City to 5-5. Accomplish that and the AFC West might be the Broncos division to win for the for the first time in a long time.
