Nico O’Reilly says Everton have a player who can 'achieve whatever he wants' under David Moyes

Everton manager David Moyes has a strong cohort of players who have been performing well under his guidance so far – and Nico O’Reilly has claimed one of them can ‘achieve whatever he wants’ under the Scot.

David Moyes has brought Everton on leaps and bounds since his appointment on Merseyside in January, keeping the Toffees up with ease before signing a number of new stars over the summer transfer window.

Moving into the Hill Dickinson Stadium could have posed problems, but after a slight dip in form, the Toffees are back in the mix for an outside European chance.

And with Jack Grealish being key to that, Nico O’Reilly believes that the Manchester City loanee can achieve whatever he wants in the game, brandishing him as a ‘great guy’.

Nico O’Reilly believes Jack Grealish is a special player

Speaking on Manchester City’s YouTube channel, Nico O’Reilly was asked to pick his best Premier League XI of Englishmen.

And that saw him opt for Grealish, labelling his former teammate as ‘special’ after what he did at Euro 2020 and beyond for the Cityzens.

O’Reilly said: “Left wing, I’m going to go with [Jack] Grealish. What he did at that Euros, he’s a special player.

“He helped them get to the final, I played with him here, trained with him here, he can achieve whatever he wants, so I’m putting him in.”

“He’s so positive, he lifts everyone’s energy up, he’s a great guy.”

It’s yet another positive rendition for the much-loved Everton loanee.

With Nico O’Reilly stepping up to the plate and playing a part for England in Thursday evening’s win over Serbia, the youngster naming Grealish in his ideal English Premier League team could prove beneficial for the World Cup.

Grealish has obviously got international nous, making 39 caps for the Three Lions and scoring four goals, including one at the 2022 World Cup.

O’Reilly is making a strong case for this summer’s tournament himself, with 10 starts, one goal and two assists in the Premier League so far this season.

And, if he can link up with his former teammate in North America on the left flank, it could propel England to finally win a major trophy after 60 years of waiting.

Grealish is waiting in the wings for another England call-up and with strong performances already this season, it could be in the offing if Tuchel believes he can perform well alongside O’Reilly.
