To no one's surprise, this season, whoever is playing cornerback across from Quinyon Mitchell has been unfairly (well, maybe fairly) picked on as the weak link in the Philadelphia Eagles' defense.
Despite Howie Roseman's attempts at landing a serviceable "running mate" for Mitchell, the Eagles have dealt with injuries to Jakorian Bennett, ineffective play from Kelee Ringo, and the sudden retirement of Jaire Alexander, leaving the inevitable Adoree' Jackson firmly standing as the last cornerback standing going into week eleven.
In Week 11, the Lions take on the dynamic Detroit Lions offense. Jackson could be the focal point of Dan Campbell and Jared Goff as Detroit looks to stay competitive in the NFC North. Who will he be primarily matched up against? Most likely Jameson Williams.
How Jackson matches up against the electric Williams
Williams is coming off his best performance of the 2025 season, seemingly getting back on pace for a second consecutive 1,000-yard season. Even more important, it was the first week that head coach Dan Campbell began calling plays for the Lions offense.
Campbell made a concerted effort to keep Williams involved and active in the Lions' gameplay, which should also be the case going into the Eagles-Lions matchup. With Sam LaPorta out for the game, Williams (who is the fourth leading receiver on the team) will have to step up for the former Iowa tight end.
With Quinyon Mitchell hoping to lock down Amon-Ra St. Brown, along with Jihaad Campbell/Cooper DeJean giving running back Jahmyr Gibbs extra attention, Vic Fangio should be turning to Jackson to cover the Lions' speedster Williams.

Williams may be one of the NFL's fastest players, with himself claiming he can run a 4.1 40-yard dash, and reports clocking him in between a 4.25 and 4.41. Jackson isn't a slouch himself; however, his 4.39 40-yard dash time from the 2017 NFL combine is now over eight years removed. While Jackson has improved as well over the past several games, he'll be in a make-or-break match when the Lions show up to Lincoln Financial Field.
