Jeglertz: We’re happy, but we want more

Andrée Jeglertz says his players’ desire to build on a phenomenal Manchester derby victory demonstrates their winning mentality.

A devastating first half performance at the Etihad Stadium saw City race into a three-goal lead against Manchester United, extending our winning run to eight in the WSL in the process.

Our latest victory means the Blues are guaranteed to go into the next international break as league leaders, creating a seven-point gap over our rivals in the process.

And our Head Coach insists that the players’ willingness to improve despite that excellent run of results demonstrates why we’re in such fine form.

Speaking to Matchday Live, he said: “We talk a lot about winning in training sessions, but the most important thing is the players are enjoying being together and going to work every day.

“They’d like to be better and make each other better. For me, that’s a winning mentality and that’s what they’re showing every day.

“They’re such a tight group, they’re working every day with everything they do.

“They want to do things better, but they come to work with a smile. If you have that you have the possibility to create a winning team.”
