Everton’s Iliman Ndiaye has been firing on all cylinders this season in the Premier League, but he endured a moment to forget during this international break.
Ndiaye was in action on Saturday with an international friendly against Brazil, which was held in Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium.
The Senegal international’s performances in an Everton shirt this season have earned him a lot of plaudits as he leads the way as the Toffees’ top scorer yet again.
Earlier in the campaign, Pat Nevin said Ndiaye was good enough to play for league leaders Arsenal after seeing what he was able to do at the Etihad Stadium against Manchester City.
Ndiaye has been able to find the back of the net four times for David Moyes in the Premier League, but Saturday saw him suffer a moment to forget.
With his national side down 2-0 in north London, Ndiaye produced a moment which has since saw him go viral on social media.

Everton’s Iliman Ndiaye goes viral after Senegal blunder
Amid the transfer speculation surrounding the winger, the Friedkins will not be bullied into selling Ndiaye having fixed their issues with PSR.
However, what he did against Brazil was not something he’ll be looking back on after the game.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
Ndiaye was handed a golden opportunity to halve the deficit for Senegal, but he uncharacteristically missed what was ultimately an open goal.
The Everton forward’s scuffed shot bounced out for a goal kick after hitting Ederson’s post.
The sold-out crowd was left stunned as the broadcasting companies raced to get the staggering miss out on social media.
Ndiaye has been praised by Michael Keane for the hard work he has shown behind the scenes in training at Finch Farm.
Thankfully, this is not a moment that affected Everton, with the 25-year-old hopefully getting the horrific miss out of his system ahead of the trip to Old Trafford.
Ndiaye was not up to his usual standards in Senegal loss
The miss will likely haunt Ndiaye as it was a bread and butter finish for the Everton forward.
With the Africa Cup of Nations just a matter of weeks away now, the Lions of Teranga came up second best against Carlo Ancelotti’s Brazil.
82 minutes played
1/2 successful dribbles
7x possession lost
2/4 ground duels won
1 big chance missed
Despite having a lot of negative things to say about Everton, even Jamie O’Hara has praised Ndiaye during this season.
However, Saturday evening was not a game he will want to remember in a hurry.
