The Philadelphia Eagles are 7-2 this season, but many experts remain skeptical of their ugly victories. Cam Newton also sees trouble brewing after AJ Brown’s public meltdown during a recent Twitch live stream.

What happened after Monday night has the former NFL star worried about this team’s future. And his warning should concern every Eagles fan.

AJ Brown had his poorest showing of the season in Philadelphia’s 10-7 win over the Packers Monday night, catching just two passes for 13 yards. His outing fell far short of last season’s standards, leaving him visibly broken.
He made his feelings clear on JankyRondo’s Twitch stream Tuesday night. He held nothing back, telling fantasy football owners to drop him from their rosters.
🚨🚨THIS IS WILD🚨🚨
Philadelphia #Eagles star wide receiver AJ Brown is extremely fed up with his role in the Philadelphia offense.
“IF YOU GOT ME ON FANTASY, GET RID OF ME.”
THIS SEEMS LIKE A DISASTER 😳😳😳

“If you got me on fantasy, get rid of me,” Brown said. “Family’s good. Everything else? No. It’s a shit-show. That’s the only highlights of damn football I been living right now.”
Actual quotes AJ Brown said last night:

“That’s the only highlights of damn football I been living right now.” (After playing as himself in Madden)

While playing Madden as himself, he joked that video game highlights were his only football bright spots. Brown refused to apologize for speaking his mind. He told viewers that if you have eyes, you can see the problem.
A.J. Brown said he won’t apologize for talking about his frustration on a Twitch stream Tuesday.
He said “if you have eyes” you can see why he’s frustrated and that he is pushing for the offense to improve because he wants to win and make an impact.

Cam Newton defended Brown during Friday’s episode of First Take. The former Carolina Panthers signal-caller said the receiver was speaking the truth about Philadelphia’s offensive struggles.
“When you have a record-breaking, record-setting running back, a lot of things that are raising flags, like ‘We’re able to cover this up because we’re winning,” Newton said. “So now, when you have a person to speak truth, he’s just setting the record straight.”

Newton pointed out that defense has been doing most of the heavy lifting this season. Then he dropped the bombshell, adding, “The Philadelphia Eagles is a walking ticking time bomb of dysfunction. It’s all in their resume. The Philadelphia Eagles have been masking, putting mascara, putting makeup so much because they have been winning.”
Newton’s criticism has logic. Philadelphia’s winning despite their offense, not because of it. That’s unsustainable in January. His warning bridges directly to another former Eagles receiver who lived through similar chaos.
Owens Supports Brown’s Stance on Offensive Struggles
Terrell Owens knows locker room drama from his own time in Philadelphia. The Hall of Fame receiver lived through the dysfunction that tore apart the 2005 Eagles. Now he’s watching history repeat itself.
Owensadded his perspective in an interview on FOX29’s Good Day Philadelphia. He said he understands Brown’s frustration completely.
“If you’re in an offense, especially with Brown being WR1, you want to be involved,” Owens said. “I don’t blame him, that’s an offensive coordinator thing. I truly understand where he’s coming from. You have to utilize the guy based on his skillset.”
Owens also said quarterback Jalen Hurts needs to take some responsibility. Getting the ball to your best players should be a priority.
“Jalen Hurts has to shoulder some of that responsibility too, because he’s the quarterback, he’s an extension of the head coach and the offensive coordinator,” Owens said. “Get the guy the ball.”
His remarks hit different because he’s been the villain in this exact story before. He called out Donovan McNabb publicly. He questioned the play-calling. He became a locker room problem. The Eagles suspended him, and that team never recovered.
Brown’s situation hasn’t reached that level yet. But the pattern’s familiar — star receiver frustrated with touches, public complaints, teammates picking sides. Philadelphia’s front office remembers how quickly things spiraled with Owens.
The Eagles face Detroit this Sunday in a primetime matchup that could expose everything. How they respond to this internal conflict could shape their entire playoff run. Quite frankly, the defending Super Bowl champs are one bad loss away from complete chaos.
