An enticing matchup between two NFC division leaders awaits on Sunday Night Football in NFL Week 11.

The Philadelphia Eagles (7-2) host the Detroit Lions (6-3) in what could be a NFC Championship game preview under the lights at Lincoln Financial Field, the home of the reigning Super Bowl champions.

The NFC East-leading Eagles grinded out a 10-7 win over the Green Bay Packers last Monday night, while the NFC North-leading Lions cruised past the spiraling Washington Commanders in Week 11 in front of President Donald Trump.

Let’s get into the three best bets for this marquee prime time matchup.

Philadelphia Eagles -2.5 (-118)

Through 10 weeks, it isn’t quite clear exactly how good the Eagles and Lions are.

Both teams have looked like Super Bowl contenders at times. Other times, like in Philly’s Week 6 loss to the Giants or Detroit’s Week 9 loss to the Vikings, neither has looked the part.

On Sunday night, I am banking on the defending Super Bowl champions showing up at home and eking out a win by at least a field goal.

David Montgomery Under 38.5 Rushing Yards (-113)

The Eagles run defense started the season slow but has shored up since the return of linebacker Nakobe Dean.

Philly has allowed 87 rush yards per game over its last three games, down from the 134.3 rush YPG it allowed from Weeks 1 to 6.

Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs is capable of scoring from anywhere on the field, so instead I’m targeting David Montgomery’s under rushing total in this one.

Montgomery hasn’t had the same impact on Detroit’s offense as in past years and is averaging just 3.3 yards per carry in his last six games.

Dallas Goedert Over 36.5 Receiving Yards (-115)

It’s been difficult to predict which Eagles receiver between AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith will produce (or not) week by week.

Tight end Dallas Goedert has flown under the radar as a massive piece of Philly’s offense during a time in which the passing attack has lacked.

I am eyeing Goedert to record over 36.5 receiving yards in this one, a line he has cleared in four of eight games this season.
