MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The Memphis Grizzlies teamed up with Street Ministries to host Impact Day on Saturday.
The event was held to help reach out to the downtown community by donating care packages and food to families in need. The Grizzlies TEAM Mentor Program also helped pass out treats and 25 Kroger gift cards in honor of the Grizzlies’ 25th season in the Bluff City.
“We want to make sure that all of our mentees are really taking an intentional look at the impact they are making today,” said Jesseca McGhee, team mentor manager with Memphis Grizzlies Foundation.
Street Ministries is a non-profit organization that serves Memphis kids with after-school programs, tutoring and mentoring.
