The Green Bay Packers enter Week 11 of the 2025 NFL regular season with something to prove, particularly on offense.
The team’s attack has been much-maligned this season, especially of late, as Green Bay suffered straight losses to the Carolina Panthers in Week 9 and to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 10. In both games, the Packers came up with just a total of 20 points. They lost both games despite allowing only 26 points in total.
And amid Green Bay’s struggles on offense is its roster that has some injured players on offense heading into this Sunday’s Week 11 meeting with the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford.
Already without tight end Tucker Kraft and wide receiver Jayden Reed, who are both in the injured reserve, the Packers will also see action against the Giants minus wideout Malik Heath, albeit for a seemingly non-injury reason.
Via Adam Schefter of ESPN:
Packers K Brandon McManus has been added to the injury report for Sunday’s game vs. the Giants due to a right quad injury and is doubtful.
Packers WR Malik Heath will not travel with the team and is out for Sunday’s game due to what the team is calling a coaching decision.
Fans react to Heath’s status for Packers-Giants
Heath (18) sprints downfield during the first half against the against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh, PA on October 26, 2025.
Reports of Heath’s expected absence versus the Giants have fans buzzing on social media.
“When you start having player issues from a guy who always seemed to have great attitude, there seems to be a leak in the ship,” said a fan on X.
Another one said: “He 100% told MLF to square up 😂”
From a commenter: “Awww man I like Malik Heath and his blocking doesn’t go unnoticed!”
“Sounds like he was mad not getting enough touches with the first team and made a scene at practice,” a social media user posted.
Via a different commenter: “Probably upset with all the first and second down runs.”
Said another: “Feels like there is a story here…”
Perhaps there will be more clarity on Heath’s situation sooner or later, but for now, Green Bay is down another wideout, which could also mean that Matthew Golden and Savion Williams will be available to play in the Giants game despite questionable labels.
Heath (18) against the Carolina Panthers cornerback Chau Smith-Wade (26) on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wis. Carolina defeated Grewen Bay 16-13.
