Packers put on notice by fans after Jameis Winston’s viral X post

With Jaxson Dart in the concussion protocol, the New York Giants are going with veteran quarterback Jameis Winston for their Week 11 meeting at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford against the visiting Green Bay Packers.

Winston hasn’t started a game in the 2025 NFL season. He hasn’t even attempted a pass yet thus far.

Still, New York gives him the nod to start instead of going back with Russell Wilson, who was the Giants’ starter before he got benched for Dart.

Ahead of the Green Bay game, Winston took to social media to share a Bible verse and a photo of him in a brown trench coat, as though he was on a big mission.

“’The horse is prepared for battle, but victory comes from the Lord.’ – Proverbs 21:31,” Winston’s post read.

Meanwhile, fans have all sorts of reactions to Winston’s post, including some that believes the former Florida State Seminoles star quarterback will go off in Week 11.

“Yeah theyre losing.Jameis Winston sinking the Packers season 😅,” said a fan on X.

Another one said: “Hell nah jameis you aint doin this to us Packers.”

From a commenter: “Watch out Packers, Jameis is comin for ya.”

“Calling my shot: 🚨If Packers lose to the Giants on Sunday with Jameis, Matt LeFleur will be fired at the end of the season,” a social media user posted.

Via a different commenter: “Let this be the game Jameis ends the Packers.”

In his career, Winston has faced the Packers three times (two starts) coming up with a 123.3 passer rating with seven passing touchdowns and zero interceptions.

Given that statistical context, perhaps there’s really a reason to believe that Winston will spell trouble for Green Bay.
