Real Madrid forward Rodrygo has stepped forward to calm growing speculation surrounding the atmosphere inside Xabi Alonso’s dressing room.
Over recent weeks, whispers of tension have circulated following the team’s disappointing Champions League defeat against Liverpool and their stumble in La Liga against Rayo Vallecano.
With outside noise growing stronger, Rodrygo felt it necessary to respond, and he did so with complete clarity.
What did Rodrygo say?
While speaking after Brazil’s friendly victory over Senegal at the Emirates Stadium, Rodrygo was asked directly about the supposed unrest.
Before addressing the matter, he made it clear that there was no truth to the rumours.
With a relaxed expression, he responded, “Very good, very good, as always,” as quoted by Mundo Deportivo.
The Brazilian winger has been enjoying far better form with his national team. Against Senegal, he was influential once again, starting the match and assisting Casemiro for Brazil’s second goal in their 2-0 win.

Under former Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti, Rodrygo has contributed two goals and one assist in his last three international appearances.
Facing uncertain future
At Real Madrid, the 24-year-old has struggled for continuity. He has started only three matches across all competitions this season and is yet to score in either La Liga or the Champions League.
The difference between his national-team productivity and his club form has made him a central figure in ongoing debates about his future.
For months, speculation has hinted at the possibility of a January exit, with several reports claiming that a winter transfer cannot be ruled out.
Yet, as those close to the situation insist, much depends on Rodrygo himself. His current contract runs until 2028, and the player’s stance remains crucial.
Despite all the noise, Rodrygo is not looking for a way out. Internally, the message is that he wants to stay, fight for his place, and prove his worth under Alonso.
